Sunday 7th December
Bridge Ensemble Leeds returned to St Matthew’s Church in Chapel Allerton on Sunday 7th December at 5pm, conducted by William Dutton, for our popular festive concert.
The programme featured music from ballet and theatre plus some festive favourites, including:
- Infernal Dance, Berceuse and Finale from Stravinsky’s The Firebird Suite (1919)
- Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker Suite
- The Blue Danube, Pizzicato Polka and The Pleasure Train celebrating the 200th Anniversary of Johann Strauss II.
- Hungarian March by Berlioz
- The Cancan from Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld
This was our final concert with William Dutton on the podium, and we hope we gave him a good send off!
We were also delighted to be joined by members of St Matthew’s Handbell Choir.
