The orchestra meets for rehearsals on Tuesday evenings during school term time in North Leeds, 7.15pm to 9.30pm with a tea break in the middle. We rehearse in three blocks (following school terms) of around ten sessions with a concert at the end, usually a Saturday or Sunday.

We don’t have any openings for wind players at the moment but if you are interested in going on our dep list then please get in touch and we’d be happy to keep your details if we need a cover. We have one Trumpet seat empty this term. We are always happy to hear from String players playing to grade 8 standard looking to join. We’re particularly keen to meet more Double Basses and Cellos to support our jazzy repertoire this summer! We don’t audition but we will invite you along to a Tuesday for an informal trial rehearsal so you can get to know the section and we can get to know you and see if we’re a good fit.

Our repertoire varies from concert to concert and we do play music with a bigger brass section and full percussion regularly. If you are a trombone, tuba or percussionist looking to play orchestra rep in a ‘turn up and play’ capacity then you are very welcome to get in touch!

To see the kind of level our music is, you can find links to parts from a couple of recent pieces we’ve played below – click on these IMSLP links and scroll down to ‘Sheet Music’, then click the ‘Parts’ tab.

If you are interested in joining us, please contact us as bridgeleeds@gmail.com and let us know what instrument you play.
